Our first session together has two main goals: assess your circumstances & build a relationship. While my areas of expertise may be consistent with your reasons for coming to counselling, we will need to consider specific areas that are unique to you and your current circumstances. This will give us a better idea what kind of therapy might be a best fit for you. Our first session together might look more like a two-way "interview" where I ask you some questions and you as some of me to help us get to know one another a bit and help me determine what your primary issues and concerns are.

I am currently able to offer counselling services using tele-mental health - both by phone or virtually, through my secure platform - NousTalk- to clients across BC. I am also offering in-person sessions both in my office space on Willingdon Ave or in the community for a distanced walk or outside meeting in a mutually agreed upon space - Seawall, Willingdon Beach etc. - I am following all Public Health orders and recommendations to ensure the safety of all my clients. Sanitisation between clients and use of a Hepa-filter filtration takes place between all in-person sessions.
Yes! I do offer a sliding scale - based on individual circumstances and need. I will be working with Open Path collective to support my sliding scale clients. If you would like to access these spaces in my practice please reach out to me directly and I will refer you to this program. I believe access to mental health services should be an entitlement to all without barriers.
Sessions are based on a 50min appointment space. At times we will agree that we need a longer appointment to discuss a specific issue or take more time. Couple and Family sessions are typically 90mins long to give enough time to not feel rushed.
I have space two nights per week for clients as well as flexibility on the weekend. Please get in touch with me and we can discuss your schedule needs to find an appointment time that works best for you and your family.
